    Next Previous Justin Wert Teacher Justin Wert is a New York based musician who has taught music and performed in the metropolitan area since 2004. His passion is playing and performing various styles of jazz, bebop, and contemporary music, but he also loves listening to and studying music through the ages and across the globe. Justin teaches piano, guitar, ukulele, banjo, and electric bass. His approach incorporates an informal and improvisatory style, adapting to what the students want to play, all while covering the fundamentals of musicianship and technique. He studied at City College of NY, and also has had the good fortune to learn with masters including Peter Bernstein, Mike Moreno, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Eunbi Kim among others. He has recorded two albums and toured Europe numerous times with the Michael Vitali Trio. He has one album as a leader entitled Justin Wert Quartet on Sati Records featuring Kyle Nasser. His credits as sideman include albums by Steve Kortyka (saxophonist for Lady Gaga), John Lang, and Wolfe Glass.

    Next Previous Lesley Craigie Teacher Originally hailing from Scotland, Lesley Craigie is a classically-trained soprano who holds degrees from the Royal College of Music in London, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and has coached with the world famous opera singer, Renata Scotto. She has performed as a soloist and ensemble member at New Jersey Opera Theater, Washington Concert Opera, the Baltimore Opera, New York Bel Canto Opera Association, Opera Box (Wales), Boheme Opera NJ, Mercury Opera, The Center of Contemporary Opera, and the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera. While passionate about singing, Lesley is equally as enthusiastic about music instruction, and brings over 15 years of experience in teaching private lessons. She teaches voice, beginning piano, and general music to students of all ages. Her students have won national competitions and many perform lead roles with local music theatre groups. She regularly sits on voice audition panels, is a proud member of National Association of Teachers of Singing, and has served on the faculty at Music Academy International, as well as the Amadeus Conservatory of Music in Chappaqua. Her teaching style is warm, friendly, and adaptive to where her students are at. She finds a way to create a solid foundation, while instilling a life-long love of music!

    Next Previous Lisa Romeo Teacher Lisa Romeo is an active freelance musician and music teacher in the NY Tri-State area. She can be found in various pick-up groups singing or playing trombone, trumpet, or tuba. The trombone is her favorite instrument for it can sound as angelic as it can demonic, as majestic as it can be silly! And most of all, it is a great representation of the physics of sound. Lisa received her Bachelors in Music at Western Connecticut State University, and her Masters in Music History at The Hartt School of Music. Her teachers include musicians from The Metropolitan Opera and The American Brass Quintet. Lisa’s music history studies also led to learning several instruments more common to early music, including recorder, flute and the predecessor to the modern trombone – the sackbutt. Lisa's approach to teaching is: to be the guide on a fun adventure where we explore the possibilities, making mistakes and happy finds, all the while progressing to the mastery of the chosen instrument and overall musicianship.

    Next Previous Tim Veeder Teacher Tim Veeder is a professional saxophonist, clarinetist, flautist, composer, arranger and educator, who has been playing saxophone since the age of 11, and professionally since 17. He performs extensively throughout the Tri-State Region in a multitude of different styles, and has shared the stage and/or studio with many world renowned musicians including legendary jazz guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), Jay Azzolina (Spyro Gyra), Richie Morales (Brecker Bros), Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow), Marc Ford (Black Crows), as well as NY Yankee Legend Bernie Williams and actor Danny Aiello. Tim graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2003 with a BS in Music Education, and earned his Masters in Music Ed in 2007, also from Saint Rose. Tim has been the band and Jazz Band director at Highlands Middle School in White Plains since 2008, and has had the Jazz Band perform at multiple events throughout Westchester, including parades, festivals, and TV appearances. Tim’s true passion lies in music education, whether that be teaching the next generation of up-and-coming musicians or helping adults rekindle their love for music.

    Next Previous Jin Gyeong Jeong Teacher A dedicated music therapist and educator, Jin Gyeong Jeong is passionate about using the power of music to foster connection, self-expression, and well-being. Jin brings extensive experience in music performance, education, and therapy, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of ability levels. Jin holds a Master of Music in Music Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from SUNY Fredonia as well as advanced degrees in Music Education and Piano Performance from South Korea. As an academic, Jin has contributed to numerous studies on the effects of music-based interventions for speech production in children. She began playing the piano at age 5, winning multiple competitions and earning scholarships for outstanding piano performance during her university studies. Her musical journey has included 2 solo recitals and 6 ensemble performances in Korea, showcasing her depth of skill and artistry. Alongside her piano expertise, Jin has been a passionate vocalist since she was 8, actively participating in numerous choirs and vocal ensembles throughout her life. One of her most noteworthy performances was a televised engagement with the Gwangju Symphony Orchestra.     Next Previous Joe Cotrona Teacher Joseph A. Cotrona is a drummer and percussionist who is also well versed in music management and music production. Joe taught at The Big Blue Meenie’s studio from 2000 – 2013, instructing students in drums while also assisting various artists in their preparation for performances and recordings by providing music production services. In 2013, Joe re-located to Connecticut from New York where he built Cat Studios. At the early age of 8, Joe discovered his love of drumming and percussion, eventually studying with pro drummer Bob Liggit. Joe grew up immersed in the local music scene where he learned to hone his skills as a passionate rock drummer. This culminated in over 40 years of performance experience with various bands and recording projects, including memorable jam sessions with Ace Frehley (Kiss) and Frank Bello (Anthrax). Joe soon found himself embracing a dual role: not only performing onstage but also working behind the scenes as a producer. In addition to his performance and production work, Joe also thrives as a music manager, guiding artists and projects with professionalism and insight. Joe instructs students in playing the drums, specializing in covering techniques like rhythm, coordination, and dynamics. He is well versed in various styles (e.g., Rock, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Percussion, and Electro-Percussion), drum rudiments, reading sheet music, and proper posture. As a teacher, Joe is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. He is happy to tailor lessons to students’ skill levels and goals, regardless of whether they are beginners or advanced players. She holds an MM in Music Education with an Autism Concentration from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and has worked with students of all ages and abilities through private lessons, and group classes. As a performer, Hadley has played regularly with funk, jazz, rock, and Americana groups across New England and beyond, and is excited to bring her experience and energy to the New York music scene. Before moving to New York, Hadley taught at multiple private lesson locations, some with a focus on supporting students with a range of disabilities. She has worked with students of all ages and abilities through private lessons, and group classes. With a background in opera, she earned her Master’s degree at Binghamton University, where she performed with the region’s professional opera company, Tri-Cities Opera. Now based in New York City, Laura continues her performance career as a soloist and chorister with MORE Opera. In addition to performing, Laura is a dedicated music educator who teaches elementary general music and choir to children as well as to Hispanic adults. She is an active participant in the Carnegie Hall Music Educators Workshop, where she continues to develop innovative teaching strategies and performs in a teachers-only choir. These experiences strongly inform her inclusive, engaging, and student-centered approach to teaching. Laura describes herself as a “full artist,” bringing a wide range of creative experiences into her work. Beyond singing, she has worked as an acrobat, dance teacher, book illustrator, guitarist, and actor in small theatrical productions. This multidisciplinary background allows her to connect with students in unique ways and adapt her teaching to different learning styles. She teaches voice, guitar, music theory, general music, beginner piano, and ukulele. With over 10 years of teaching experience in three different languages, Laura is deeply committed to making lessons fun, meaningful, and inspiring.     Next Previous Anne Chamberlain Teacher Anne Chamberlain is a singer and actress originally hailing from Miami, FL. After performing in over 50 shows in regional theatre, she moved to NYC in 2015 and began working in the Voiceover industry, before making her way to the Hudson Valley area in 2021 where she now lives with her husband. Anne teaches voice and beginning piano. As a voice teacher, she prides herself in instructing and encouraging her students to be well-rounded, versatile singers as well as actors. She greatly enjoys training young people in vocal technique, storytelling through song, and character development. She also loves experiencing first-hand the growth of her students as artists and as people. In addition, she has worked with students on all types of auditions ranging from school plays to Broadway callbacks. She enjoys adjusting her teaching methods to the learning style, abilities, and goals of each student she encounters. As a teacher, Anne has worked with the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in Florida as well as the Broadway Workshop and Ferrari Dance Center in NYC. Her current and former students have booked Broadway shows, regional theatre, tv, film, and commercials, as well as representation.
