Nina Glodstein is a classically trained soprano, choir conductor, and music educator. She studied Vocal Performance at SUNY Geneseo, where she participated in collaborative and solo recitals, honors recitals, and performances with both the Geneseo Chamber Singers and Geneseo Symphony Orchestra. Nina spent summers during her undergraduate years performing at the Finger Lakes Opera company.

Following her time at Geneseo, Nina continued her studies in Music Education at Nazareth College in Rochester. There, she discovered a love for elementary general music through her student teaching experiences. Nina graduated with her Masters Degree in Music Education, earning both the Graduate Excellence Award in Music Education and the Elementary General Music Education Award.

Nina spent over six years teaching in elementary schools across New York State, focusing on general music and choral instruction. She is a member of the American Orff Schulwerk Association, and has earned her Level I Certification. Nina embraces Carl Orff’s philosophy that music education should be a child-centered approach that treats music as a natural extension of human speech, play, and movement, rather than an academic subject that is learned solely behind a desk.

Beyond the classroom Nina also teaches private lessons in voice, piano, ukulele, flute, and general music. Her approach to teaching prioritizes creating a positive experience first, where learning can feel like natural play, engaging the imagination and supporting musical exploration. No matter who the student is or where they are at in their musical journey, whether beginners or more advanced, Nina's lessons are thoughtful and intentionally custom-tailored to each individual's needs and abilities!

Throughout her extensive time as an instructor, one thing has remained constant... Nina's devotion to making each and every one of her students find their own version of joy and engagement with music. She always makes it a point to meet each student where they are and guides them through their process with patience, creativity, and deep compassion. In addition to her classical training, Nina also applies her intimate knowledge of vocal pedagogy to a variety of other styles including musical theatre, belt, pop, and other genres.

On top of her deep love of all things music, Nina has always had a profound passion for connecting through language and culture! She recently completed an advanced certification program at Fordham University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Nina has formally studied Italian and Latin, has experience with French, German, and Spanish diction, and is independently studying Japanese.
